Adventurous and beautifully animated film with historical footage about the Italian dog Titina, who was with the Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen at the North Pole in 1925.

Do you love exploring? Then try to imagine that you could be the first person at the North Pole. Italian dog Titina stars in this exciting animated film about world-famous Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen. In 1925, he was the first person ever to set foot on the North Pole and he brought Titina and her friend, the airship engineer Umberto Nobile. Roald Amundsen was already world famous for his explorations, mapping the Northwest Passage and the South Pole, and in 1925 he would fly in Umberto Nobile’s specially designed airship to the North Pole. ‘Titina’ mixes animation with short documentary footage from the 1920s, putting the reality of the time into perspective.
